MOTOGP 2015 Sepang.... Oh dear, Rossi!

October 2015

What else is half-term made for but the MotoGP?

Before we left the UK, we purchased tickets for the 2014 MotoGP.   We were not disappointed!  They really know how to do bikes here!  Although, not always as they were intended...

However, after the lack of atmosphere and F&B at the F1 in March 2015 we thought maybe the MotoGP Sepang visit in October had been a fluke - we could not have been more wrong...

Without the VIP upgrade tickets from Marc this year, we opted for tickets in the VR46 tribute stand, which has no reserved seating.   With the haze at its height this month, we were glad we had, as at least we could see the action directly in front of us. Just.

Race Day - early

I had purchased a new phone (with fancy features) a few days before the race and was able to do all manner of fancy moves.  The panorama view feature is just great, as is the slo-mo.

Race Day - Just before the start.

We visited for qualifying on Saturday too and took the daughter.   She loved it!   Next time we need to ensure we have tickets for her too!

As last time, the pre-race show was fantastic.   The stunt rider was a manic and had the crowd screaming.   I'm not sure my picture do him justice.

The highlight, as usual, was the antics of the crowd.  They really know how to entertain themselves.  The Mexican waves, ball passing and singing made the atmosphere electric.

My advice:

  • Get there early to get a seat, as they oversell the stand and end up with people sitting all up the steps.

  • Bring a element of fun and cheer, and ensure you have your Rossi memorabilia - free with presentation of your VR46 ticket.

  • Lastly, bring your best flag waving arm, as you will need it.

Tickets currently on sale for Sepang MotoGP Oct 2016.    VR46 tickets from 126rm.

I'm not commenting on the main man following his MM interaction!!!

Oh dear, Rossi!
